2D to 3D: Transforming dimensions

Low on supplies? Well you’re in luck, because for this project all you need is some construction paper, tape, scissors, and stapler.

Simple as this project may be, it helps you to see past the perceived limitations of the material. The lesson is to look past the perceived limitations of our own environment and use our imagination to transform it into a whole new dimension.

Pick out two colors of construction paper and go at it! Create a three dimensional sculpture and when you’re done, introduce your piece speaking from the “I am…” monologue. Speak as if you are the sculpture. Below are some examples of paper sculpture made by clients at an outpatient addiction rehab.
